Shipping policy
Every Orion order ships from our factory in Iron Mountain, Michigan.
PROCESSING TIME
Most orders ship within 2 weeks. Many factors can tie into processing times, if your order is subject to a delay outside of seasonal surges in orders, we will contact you.
Busy season heads-up: August through October is our busiest time of year, and lead times can run longer. If you need your blind, tower or feeder set up before opening day, order early. We’ll keep you posted if your order needs extra time.
HOW YOUR ORDER SHIPS
- Parts and accessories ship by parcel carrier with tracking.
- Blinds, towers, feeders and other large items ship by LTL freight on a semi-truck. Every freight order includes liftgate service and a scheduled delivery appointment.
Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on your order total and delivery address. You’ll get a shipping confirmation email with tracking once your order leaves our facility.
WHERE WE SHIP
We ship within the contiguous United States. For orders to Alaska, Hawaii or outside the U.S., contact us for a shipping quote before ordering.
FREIGHT DELIVERY TERMS
Freight delivery works differently than a package on your porch. By placing an order that ships freight, you agree to the following:
- Truck access. A full-size semi-truck (up to a 53-foot trailer) must be able to reach your delivery address on a maintained road. Drivers won’t go down narrow, unpaved or seasonal roads, long private drives, or anywhere they can’t safely turn around. If your place can’t take a semi, ship to another address that can, such as your workplace, or pick it up at the carrier’s local terminal. Contact us before ordering and we’ll set it up.
- Curbside delivery with liftgate. The driver uses a liftgate to lower your shipment to the ground at the end of your driveway or the nearest point the truck can safely reach. Drivers don’t bring items into buildings, onto your property, or out to your hunting spot.
- Delivery appointment. The carrier will call the phone number on your order to schedule delivery. Make sure it’s a number you’ll answer.
- Someone has to be there. An adult must be on site at the scheduled time to sign for the shipment and help unload.
-
Inspect before you sign. Our carriers require all damage to be noted on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery, before you sign to accept it.
- Remove the white shipping bag or open a few boxes, and count the pieces.
- Write any damage or missing pieces on the receipt and take photos.
- Report damage found after unpacking to us within 48 hours of delivery.
If you sign the receipt without noting any damage, the carrier will treat the shipment as delivered in good condition.
- Redelivery and extra charges. If the carrier can’t complete delivery, you’re responsible for the charges the carrier bills as a result. That includes redelivery, storage, address correction and return freight. This applies when the address is wrong or incomplete, the truck can’t safely reach it, nobody is there at the scheduled time, or the shipment is refused. We’ll invoice those charges before reshipping, or deduct them from any refund.
- Address changes. Contact us right away if your delivery address needs to change. Once an order ships, the carrier’s rerouting fees are your responsibility.
- Refusing delivery is not a return. Returns follow our Refund Policy and must be requested first. A refused shipment is handled under item 6.
QUESTIONS
Contact us before you order if you’re not sure your property can take a freight delivery. We’d rather sort it out up front.
